Our Story
The Atlas Origin Story
Atlas was founded in 2009 by Arvind Chary and Alex Foster—longtime friends who met as undergrads at Tufts University and later reconnected while earning graduate degrees at Columbia. What started as a two-person company driven by hustle, conviction, and a shared vision has since grown into a fully integrated real estate investment platform.
Over the past 15+ years, Atlas has evolved into a high-performance team of 15 professionals, with a proven track record across 55+ deals. Atlas leverages its talented team and expansive network to deliver best-in-class execution. Today, Atlas remains guided by the same entrepreneurial spirit that sparked its founding.

Covenant House provides homeless and at-risk youth with a safe place and holistic programs to achieve sustainable independence. Each year the Atlas team participates in the Covenant House Sleep-Out, spending a night on the street to raise money and awareness. The Atlas team, along with its peers in the real estate community, have raised over $4,000,000 for the children of the Covenant House.
